#4 – S/S 2019

We have devoted Pushpam's fourth issue to Oṃ – that ancient syllable that is beyond time, and the eternal energy from which everything arises. We explore Oṃ's origin, its meaning, and interpretation over the history of time. Our writers also have reviewed a book on Indra Devi, one of the earliest disciples of Krishnamacharya; and our food writer discusses the dangers of the clean eating movement. There is even a poem on Ganesh by the Edinburgh Makar, or the poet laureate of Scotland's capital. Contributors include Hamish Hendry, Finnian M.M. Gerety, and Luke Jordan as well as photographs by William Stewart.
